Paisaje by Federico García Lorca

La tarde equivocada
se vistió de frío.
Detrás de los cristales,
turbios, todos los niños,
ven convertirse en pájaros
un árbol amarillo.

La tarde está tendida
a lo largo del río.
Y un rubor de manzana
tiembla en los tejadillos.

This great poet was describing a beautiful autumn. The children inside, seeing yellow leaves that appears to be little birds. While the dimming sky turns those old tile roofing to a crimson.

It;s amazing how men possess the power to translate into written words the beauty of the littlest things.

Unfortunately, this poet was lost during the Spanish civil war. Killed by fascist goons. His remains were never found.
